Agroi: return to the countryside
Our new line of scented soy candles Selana Ways is here and it hereby signals the return to the greek countryside, to the agroi.
The countryside often deceives us. Whenever we are fortunate enough to find ourselves breathing in the fresh air, stepping on soft grass and feeling the rays of the sun on our skin as it filters through the thick foliage of trees.
That’s when we think this natural environment is simple, slower, easier to live in than the bustling cities.
And though that concept holds true to some extent, most of us have forgotten the complexities that come with living in the country. But concepts such as ‘simple’ or ‘slow’ are only a matter of perspective.
To the businessman or businesswoman, rushing from appointment to appointment can feel very hectic; to the farmer making sure everything happens at the right time can feel as urgent, even as hectic.
Living in the country is never easy nor simple. It’s the respect to each task and the time and effort it requires that creates this sense of simplicity. But we here at Selana Ways believe that it can be very rewarding.
And so, to convey this sense of harmonious hustle we were inspired to launch our new line of scented soy-wax candles, Agroi.
Agroi means fields, the cultivable land that surrounds the large urban centres. What scents will mark this journey from the fields to the city?

The scents we chose to include in this line are from a wide range of objects, flowers, or activities associated with life in the country.Why not invite into your home a breath of the countryside?
You can choose from many different scents like the floral and sweet Lilac blowing in the warm spring breeze; the fresh aroma of White Linen billowing in the sunshine, or the equally fresh scent of fluffy Cotton as it softens the harshness of the country;
perhaps the earthy and spicy scent of Leather is more to your liking, or the mouth-watering headiness of Sweet Cinnamon, Angel Cake, or Plum Pie, all of which allude to something delicious baking in the oven.
No matter what scent you prefer, rest assured that you will be transported to a life you perhaps remember from your childhood, or to a life that was the norm for our ancestors.
