Eros and Psyche

The love story between Eros and Psyche is arguably one of the most emblematic of them all. This story is rife with all the delicious archetypes of any good story, like the two jealous sisters, the helping animals, and personified furniture. The fairy-tale descriptions of the palace of Eros and Psyche enchant even today with their vividness, while the sweet temperament of the West Wind Zephyros brings the ‘faithful friend’ archetype to delightful life. What would our souls be without experiencing passionate love? We like to think that the shining, ornate, and divine palace of Eros and Psyche is full of fragrant camelia flowers. This flower symbolises loyal love, as the petals do not exist without the greenery supporting it, and when the flower dies the greenery falls along with the petals.
